Teenagers have a lot to deal with these days, and some have a hard time getting through it. Shangri-La Learning Ranch provides a safe atmosphere where these youth gain new tools to help them with the struggles they face. If your teenager is facing any of the following challenges, you may want to consider Shangri-La Learning Ranch:
Shangri-La Learning Ranch offers family-based care in a leadership program for troubled and at-risk youth between the ages of 12 and 17. We provide both education and therapy for youths on a unique 130-acre campus in Southern Utah.
A unique aspect at Shangri- La Learning Ranch is that every home on the ranch has two full-time “house parents” for every two to four children. This creates a home-like atmosphere so that the youth are influenced more by the parents than they are by the other youth in the house . This promotes better learning with individualized care to address your teen’s specific behavioral or troubled behaviors.
Here at Shangri-La Learning Ranch, we offer teens the opportunity to participate in recreational therapy and equine assisted learning. We also use experiential learning to in helping individuals learn using real life hands-on experiences in nature through various outdoor adventures and activities. Family and individual therapy are also available and used to deal with more in depth issues your teen might be facing.
Youth are taught ways to live daily life in a fully sustainable environment. The Soulegria Promise Wheel TM is a way we help each individual particiapating in our program that life must be well balanced and that we can’t just take from society and not give anything back. Families learn how to create real intimacy in their relationships and keep a positve outlook while respecting nature and their environment. As a 501-C Nonprofit organization all donations will help to continue the Learning Ranch activities including animal rescue, learning sustainable living principles and helping in the community.
